Area(s) of Research Interest: I am a Palestinian american poet with creative and scholarly interests in anti-colonial poetics, contemporary experimental and multi-lingual poetic forms, speculative fiction, Palestinian poetry, and Southwest Asian/North African diasporic literature. Given my background in engineering, I am also interested in digital humanities, especially as a lens for studying Palestinian archives, erasure, and historical memory. I am the author of the poetry collection Birthright (Button Poetry, 2020), which won the Arab American Book Award and was nominated for a Lambda Literary Award, and am currently working on poetry and fiction projects centered on disembodiments in (historical, ancestral, familial, personal, etc) Palestinian memory.
