Area(s) of Research Interest: My research considers how 18th-century British literature broadly and travel narratives specifically depict the medical practices of the Middle East and Ottoman empire. I am interested in the exchange of scientific knowledge during the Enlightenment and the means by which women engaged in the discourse of this period.
