Area(s) of Research Interest: As an undergraduate at Macalester College I studied the formation of Palestinian identity in Palestine, Jordan, Chile, and the United States. I now plan on continuing research on identity formation amongst Palestinian communities living in the diaspora as a first year in the Sociology PhD program. Specifically, I am interested in the relationship between cultural and communal identity and state citizenship.
